AU CADC - Exchange Program

 
at ETSAV in Barcelona, Spain


 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Exchange program between the Auburn University School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture and the ETSAV - Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès  - Valles, Spain (near Barcelona).
 

ELIGIBILITY

Participation in this program is limited to AU students in the architecture program. Students wishing to participate must be approved in advance by the Architecture Program Chair, and have a plan of study cleared via the CADC Student Services Advisors.
 

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Term 1: Approx. Mid-September 2017 through end-January 2018
  • Term 2: Approx.  Mid-February 2018 through end-June 2018

COURSES

Languages of instruction: English, Spanish/Catalan

Auburn course equivalents will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Courses are selected based on individual plan of study review for each students. School staff works directly with partner institution to identify and approve specific course equivalents.

PROGRAM COSTS

AU Students pay tuition (based on residency status) and professional fee to AU & do not pay tuition at partner school. Auburn Abroad tuition waiver does not apply to exchange program semesters. Spirit of Auburn scholarships may be applied to exchange program semesters (please check with the AU Office of University Scholarships).

Auburn students will also pay for the International Emergency Travel Self Insurance for the duration of their program abroad.

AU students are responsible for airfare and all living expenses in host country.

Some service fees from host school may apply to the exchange term.

 

ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodations are the responsibility of participating students. Assistance is available from the International Program office at ETSAV: Information Sheet

PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS

If you do not have a PASSPORT: Please check http://travel.state.gov for the nearest local passport office and forms. Application for a United States passport should be made at least 120 days in advance of your departure date. Auburn Abroad recommends that you apply for a passport as soon as you know you are participating in the program. If you already have a passport: Please check the expiration date. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months following your scheduled time abroad.

VISA REGULATION:

  • Students will need a visa for this program. Visa information will be supplied by Auburn Abroad.
