Food and wine tourism is booming! This program takes you to sites across two key food and wine locations: France and Spain. Seminar topics include the international influence of the French and Spanish wine markets; the globalization of wine; wine and food pairing; gastronomical influences; and the ins and outs of the tourism industry. As you visit local vineyards to gain a greater understanding of the business of wine, we’ll emphasize the branding, production, marketing, and selling of wine. You’ll explore various cultural sites in France and Spain and attend special lectures on winemaking and food pairing, led by master chefs and sommeliers. Course content will be delivered through multiple site visits, guest lectures, and in-class meetings. You’ll have the opportunity to select the subject area that best meets your needs from the list of courses available. Check out the program itinerary for more details.
