& Travel in Costa Rica


PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Jump start your Honors College career during this 9-night program in Costa Rica! You will be able to explore the world with your new Honors College community while learning about environmental history and sustainability.

This year incoming freshmen to the Honors College at Auburn University have the opportunity to experience a pre-freshmen Study & Travel course to Costa Rica. Led by faculty member Dr. Sarah Hamilton of the History department, incoming students can spend part of their summer in this ecologically diverse country enjoying rainforest walks, gorgeous waterfalls, and even a surf lesson.

  • 20 July 2019: Program begins in Costa Rica
  • 29 July 2019: Program ends in Costa Rica, depart to airport and to U.S.

PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS

If you do not have a PASSPORT: Please check www.travel.state.gov for the nearest local passport office and forms. Auburn Abroad recommends that you apply for a passport as soon as possible. If you already have a passport, please check the expiration date. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months following your scheduled time abroad.

VISA REGULATIONS: U.S. citizens do not need a visa for this program. Non-U.S. Citizens should verify visa requirements.
